Matt + Demi’s Bradford House Wedding in Oklahoma City

Matt and Demi were married on November 7th at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oklahoma City, and then took the whole party ten minutes south to Bradford House. I have shot a lot of weddings, and very few of them change key the way this one did. The afternoon was gold and ivory and very still. The evening was colorful cocktails, candlelight, and a room full of people who had no intention of leaving early.

The morning started at the Waterford Hotel. Slow and sweet with Demi & her father’s first look followed by a few bridal portraits and family photos.

Then we headed to Bradford house. Bringing all the character and color and people together. Matt & Demi saw each other for the first time out in the courtyard surrounded by foliage and beautiful green doors leading to each room at the hotel. Demi had such confidence with how her day was to flow that I simply just followed her around and captured the moments she had been dreaming of for a long time. After hanging with their best friends and taking more bride & groom portraits in Heritage Hills we headed to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

The Cathedral was finished in 1924, and it is the kind of room that asks you to slow down. Tall ceilings, a gilded altar, white florals against all that gold. Demi wore opera gloves and a veil long enough that it kept its own time down the aisle. I shot part of the day on film, and this is where I am always glad I did. They came out of those doors to a full-volume crowd and got into a red Corvette with “just married 11.7.25” written across the back glass.

And then Bradford House, which is where this wedding became something else entirely. The house was built in 1912 and is now a boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar, and it has more personality than most venues have square footage. Emerald green in one room, deep coral in the next, plates on the walls, candles down the center of every table. Bailey Robinson and Marianne’s Rentals built into that instead of against it, including a floral installation that reached up to the chandelier that I could have photographed all night. Noah Engh played through dinner, The Savoy Trio took it from 8:30, and the rest of the night went exactly how you would hope.

Matt and Demi, thank you.
